 So, I just have to finish one assignment, and my second last semester of Uni will be over. When my final semester comes around, you can be assured I will be counting down the weeks, and days, until it will be over. It's not that I haven't enjoyed it at all.   I did an online test on poetry a couple of weeks ago for another subject. I just received the results for it. I got 100%! 

 I just downloaded "The Thief" by Megan Whalen Turner onto my e-reader! I've been wanting to start her novels for a long time. I've heard many good thing about it. It's awesome that I can see reading lots of fantasy novels is my homework for this trimester. 

 Next week I start studying again for the year. This will be the last year of my degree!

This trimester, I'm doing a unit in Contemporary Poetry, and another called Driven to Write. It's a unit where we pick a genre of YA fiction, then research and write in that genre for the rest of the trimester. I've already picked fantasy. We're required to ( Read more... )

 Mum's back from the hospital now, and feeling better. She came home Monday. Although, with her chronic lung condition, she needs to be on oxygen at home from now on. There's now a compressor at home, and she's mostly adjusted well to the change.

I still have a slight cough, but other than that, I'm over the flu.

I woke up feeling terrible yesterday, and I got progressively worse throughout the day. It turns out I have the flu. As a result, I haven't been able to visit my mum in hospital; just talk to her of the phone in a barley audible voice because I have a sore throat.

At least I have plenty of time to get my uni assignments done, so I don't have to  ( Read more... )

My mum is on her way to hospital after experiencing a severe asthma attack. She's been well lately, so this was very sudden. My dad went with her in the ambulance, and he's going to keep me posted. I'll let you know what's happening later. 

 I haven't been around these parts much lately, and I'm sorry for that.  I've mostly been on Tumblr. I haven't mentioned that I've started uni again. I'm studying Publishing and Writing and Film. They are both great subjects, especially the latter, because my homework mostly involves watching movies.

 This morning I got my orange belt in karate! I think I thought for a moment I hadn't passed, and I'm still surprised, exhausted and sore.

I've quite busy lately, but my trimester's nearly over, so I'll be posting more frequently soon.
